International Conference on Acoustics, Noise and Vibration
August 8-12, 2000
Montreal, Quebec, CANADA

Scope/Topics of Interest

The aim of this conference is to bring together engineers and scientists who are concerned with modelling, analysis, measurement and control of sound and vibration. It is hoped that this conference will stimulate cross-fertilization of different disciplines involved in acoustics, noise and vibration aspects of systems and to promote the fundamentals as well as industrial applications.

Some topics of particular interest to guide prospective contributors are: * history of acoustics and vibration * time-frequency, wavelet analysis and signal processing * structural acoustics and noise * architectural acoustics and musical acoustics * inverse problems in acoustics and vibrations * environmental noise * active vibration and noise control * computational acoustics * modal analysis * underwater acoustics * building acoustics and vibration * vibroacoustics, aeroacoustics, and thermoacoustics * human response to sound and vibration * noise control elements * condition monitoring and diagnostics * propagation and scattering of sound * occupational noise exposure and control * hearing protectors * nonlinear vibrations and acoustics * power flow techniques * random vibrations * acoustic fatigue * measurement techniques in acoustics and vibration * nonlinear system dynamics and control * grasping and locomotion * biologically inspired/passive dynamics of walking, running and hopping
